Our Stories: The Lord Multiplied our Fishes and Loaves

In 2016-2017 I was working at First Choice and we had significant financial difficulties. They were so significant that we had to not only lend whatever spare cash we had (around $80,000), but we also had to take out a loan on our retirement (a total of $85,000 more) and also borrow an additional $200,000 from other people. Even then, there still wasn't enough money for the company, so we had to forgo my paycheck.

Rachelle wasn't working at the time, so the family was relying on me to be the sole breadwinner of the household. Starting at the beginning of December and going until the end of March, I didn't take 9 paychecks. During that time, somehow, some way, the Lord provided for us. He gave me some extra jobs that I was able to do outside of First Choice writing SQL queries for other companies. Even with that, we were still down a significant amount of money. Nevertheless, He helped us not only be able to continue to pay our mortgage and utilities, but we were also able to pay our credit card bills and everything as we normally would have. 

When we finally started receiving paychecks again, Rachelle and I looked back and wondered how we were able to do that. The money coming in was almost $30,000 less than what we normally would have had, but we somehow were able to make every payment that we needed to in a way that didn't even feel like finances were as tight as they were.

Manuel and Guillermo are Saved from Shining Path
